This year, in the Apple Developers Conference (WWDC 2018), the company unveiled its new shortcut app. This is actually an application that allows users to create custom shortcuts in iOS devices. How to create Siri's custom shortcuts:
1. Open the Workflow app and tap on the option of 'New Workflow'.
2. Swipe on 'Action' option to drag and drop the action workflows you've created.
3. Tap 'Done' to save
Custom commands for Siri shortcut will be ready:
1. Go to 'Siri and Search' operation in settings.
2. Find recently created workflows. You can also find it in the Recommendation List or More Shortcut> Workflow.
3. Record your personal command or frame.
4. To launch the custom command created, just repeat the command by saying 'Hi Siri'.
How to Use Shortcut App with Deep Serialization on the basis of WWDC 2018 Keynotes:
Let's say that you have to set up a command to start navigation for your home, to decide what to play music, decide the command to increase the brightness, or to set the command to 'do not disturb' . To do this you have to follow these steps:
1. Open the shortcut app and tap on CREATE NEW SHORTCUT.
2. Using the search bar at the bottom of the app, select those actions that you want to assign to the search action. Here we want to add Maps to Action, so go to 'Open apps' and select your app by tapping on 'Chooz'.
3. Open the app you want to open, for navigation we will open Google Maps.
4. Now select music and add it to the shortcut.
5. Now search the brightness and adjust the brightness level and then set the option of Do Not Disturb as well.
6. After adding all the actions to the shortcut, tap 'Done'.
7. Now you will have the option of 'add to seri' on your screen. Add it.
8. Record the command for your shortcut.
9. You can also select shortcut icons at your convenience.
10. Now open Siri and speak the command for your shortcut.
